WIR MOD 1.5 - Operazione Barbarossa - Roccia (Asse) vs Gamma (Russia)

Certo che la tua fanteria ha avuto il suo bel da fare contro i carri russi. ne ha distrutti solo 6 , priticamente quasi 500 uomini a carro. non ti sembra un po' sbilanciato?

 

Creado che il terreno "boscoso" in attacco mi abbia dato un bel po di malus: non oso pensare quando entrerà in vigore lo scenario invernale...le offensive lato mio saranno impossibili!!!

Sono curioso di vedere nei prossimi turni, è la "prima volta" pure per me!

Per la cronaca ho appena mandato il turno a Gamma, nei prossimi giorni completo il resoconto del turno 1: mi ci vorrà comunque un po per spostare le truppe come voglio io, inizialmente ho molte unità veloci in esagoni dove non ci sono strade ggrrrrr

Notevoli i danni inflitti mentre la CAP nemica si è rivelata inadeguata contro i miei caccia più moderni e guidati da piloti esperti. A terra le truppe tedesche hanno sfondato dovunque. Brest-Litovsk è caduta: è la prima città nemica importante a cadere. Ho avuto però una sopresa: vi è l'obbligo di tenere 80 punti assalto come guarnigione. Temo che questo varrà per tutte le altre città russe per simulare il pericolo dei partigiani: non so quanto sarà la richiesta di PA nelle altre città ma temo che mi immobilizerà molte unità

Qui le principali direttrici dell'offensiva sono 3: verso Minsk, verso Rovno e verso Lwow. Sulla via per Rovno sto incontrando un forte raggruppamento nemico, credo che mi fermerò un turno per attendere i rinforzi che distano pochi chilometri.

Con l'aviazione rumena e quella tedesca di base in Romania mi sono concentrato sull'aeroporto di Kishinev, dove stazionavano diverse unità di bombardieri russi. A terra ho deciso di eseguire due offensive principali: la prima verso Odessa seguendo la strada costiera, dove sto facendo convergere unità tedesche e rinforzi rumeni. In prima linea in questo momento vi sono solo 2 divisioni rumene, del tutto insufficienti per sfondare le linee nemiche visto che c'è anche il malus per l'attraversamento di un fiume.
A nord la seconda offensiva: il gruppo corazzato ungherese punterà a nord per poi scendere verso Cernauti: dal cielo i bombardieri ungheresi stanno logorando le truppe russe ma nel primo turno i risultati sono stati scarsi (non penso che con i bombardieri ungheresi solamente potrò fare molto, sposterò unità tedesche appena possibile).

 

Le perdite aeree dell'asse sono state alte in considerazione del fatto che avevo il fattore sorpresa dalla mia. Nei prossimi turni cercherò di ottimizzare l'utilizzo dell'aviazione visto che i rimpiazzi dei piloti sono limitati come pure la produzione.
Lato russo le perdite, se pur alte, sono ben poca cosa rispetto al pool disponibile al mio avversario.
Affondati anche qualche SS russo del mar Baltico che possono essere un pericolo per la navigazione verso la Finlandia per eventuali rinforzi.

L'aviazione russa non ha colpito le industrie od i centri vitali dell'economia finlandese ma si è accanita contro le truppe dell'armata della Karelia.
Pochi i danni ma gli aerei russi hanno potuto agire indisturbati visto che tutti i miei caccia a disposizione erano o in CAP sulle città od in missione escort.
Comunque un tentavivo di colpire le navi nel porto di Helsinki è costato molto ai russi con risultati praticamente nulli:

Di fronte a Bacau avevo notato una breccia nel sistema difensivo russo quindi ho provato a lanciarci tutto quello che avevo in zona. La recon aveva visto giusto e sono riuscito a superare il fiume tra Romania e Russia senza colpo ferire ed ora posso manovrare per chiudere in una sacca diverse unità russe.

 

Considerazioni turno 2

In questo turno le perdite aeree per entrambi sono state più contenute, sempre un rapporto 1:14. Gamma ha evitato scontri diretti visto l'esperienza dei suoi piloti ed i veivoli che per ora possiede.
La strategia russa sembra quella di colpire le truppe nemiche nelle prime linee. Non so se continuerà così, in questo caso non devo mettere in conto cali nella produzione industriale, il che ha i suoi vantaggi.
Non appena le prime basi aeree russe saranno conquistate potrò destinare parte dei caccia a sweep ed escort.
Sul fronte oggi pochi scontri, è stato un turno di riavvicinamento dei due schieramneti. Anche nel prossimo turno non ci saranno grossi scontri.

Azione corsara della flotta russa del Mar Baltico contro Helsinki. L'azione che non ha prodotti danni rilevanti è costata molto ai russi.

In Finlandia ho in questo momento 3 differentri fronti aperti dove su ciascuno ho una leggera superiorità in mezzi: ma nelle città devo superare le fortificazioni mentre in campo aperto subisco i malus del terreno e superamento del fiume (fronte 90 km a nord di Leningrado). Ho deciso quindi di spostare 3 divisioni (una dalla riserva e due dal fronte a nord di Leningrado) per cercare di conquistare la città di Korpiselkaya. I restanti due fronti rimarranno sulla difensiva.
Le truppe finlandesi sono di qualità nettamente inferiori rispetto a quelle tedesche e finchè il fronte del gruppo Nord non si avvicinerà a Leningrado, i Finlandesi dovranno cavarsela da soli. Per questo preferisco concentrarmi su un fronte che disperdere le poche risorse in più fronti.
Per ora sto usando l'aviazione finnica per coprire i centri industriali e le navi russe nel golfo di Finlandia. Bombardare le basi russe vorrebbe dire subire la AA e ho pochissimi rimpiazzi per i bombardieri (ne arrivano 2 soli al mese e non ho slot produttivi in Finlandia).

Industria

I primi turni mi sono serviti per capire il lato indistriale visto che è uno scenario totalmente nuovo per me.

Il punto debole per ora credo siano i supplies. La disponibilità giornaliera copre a mala pena l'attuale produzione e le richieste dal fronte: ogni aumento della produzione va ad intaccare le riserve stoccate
Quindi ogni scelta deve essere ben ponderata: per ora ho spostato la produzione di caccia rumeni ad un modello più recente (nuova linea di produzione 4/mese) e bombardieri ungheresi, visto che non ne arrivano ne si producono ad inizio scenario (nuova linea di produzione 4/mese).

Ogni città russa conquistata produce 200 tonnellate di supplies a quanto ho visto, quindi più conquisto più potrò permettermi modifiche od espansioni industriali.
Il pool di veicoli ed armamenti prodotto giornalmente non è minimamente sufficiente: ho impostato solo le unità di prima linea per ricevere rinforzi e il pool è sempre quasi a zero. Nelle retrovie ho moltissime unità a ranghi incompleti (soprattutto divisioni corazzate e brigate di artiglieria). Appena possibile espanderò anche queste due industrie cercando però di non bruciare troppi supplies.

Allego anche uno screenshot degli aerei più usati per vedere con che ritmo sto bruciando il pool: tra poco passerò ad un uso più mirato dei rimpiazzi degli aerei visto che sarà una guerra molto lunga

 

Sto iniziando a giocare a WITP da poco, mi spieghi meglio come leggere queste ultime tre immagini please? Dove capisci quanto produci e quanto comsumi di rifornimenti e di aerei e di tutto il resto?

Detto questo, leggendo l'AAR sembra effettivamente che stai erodendo parecchio le tue risorse, soprattutto in fatto di uomini; da neofita mi sembra che punti sullo scontro frontale, non riesci a effettuare le puntate in avanti coi corazzati come da manuale della blitzkrieg?
Obiettivi a lungo termine? Quale fronte ritieni più importante e quale sacrificabile maggiormente?

PS: Complimenti per il coraggio a te e allo sfidante, mi sembra incredibilmente immenso come MOD.

 

Questo MOD semplifica molto la parte di produzione di WITP classico. Non c'è la gestione dei motori (tolta per semplicità implementativa), la linea di produzione degli aerei è molto limitata (l'arrivo di aerei OFF MAP è molto importante per simulare il resto delle industrie tedesche non rappresentato nella mappa), quindi per imparare WITP questo MOD non è ideale perchè avresti una visione parziale.

Per leggere le tabelle: i numeri sotto la voce POOL indicano materiale attualmente a disposizione per essere dispiegato nelle unità sulla mappa come rinforzi. USED SO FAR: quelli già usati, siano essi ancora in gioco o persi.

Nella schermata della produzione industriale i numeri tra ( ) indicano il pool disponibile in quel momento, il numero prima la produzione giornaliera. Ex: Vehicle: 260 (76) --> Pool di 76 e produzione di 260 unità.

L'avanzata lungo le strade è quasi obbligatorio per arrivare il più lontano possibile prima della stagione delle piogge/fango. Ho notato che al di fuori degli esagoni anche le truppe corazzate non sono così veloci come vorrei. Comunque sto studiando manovre per conquistare città chiave alle spalle di truppe nemiche. Considera che anche per me è la prima volta che provo questo MOD e sicuramente farò molti errori, quindi ogni suggerimento è ben accetto!!!

Non penso di poter vincere prima dell'inverno vedendo i primi turni, quindi cercherò di avanzare il più possibile per poi concentrarmi nell'eliminare le sacche durante l'autunno e l'inverno. Ogni città conquistata vuol dire supplies ma anche guarnigioni da lasciare per evitare l'effetto partigiani (per ora 80 Punti Assalto per città).
Sucuramente il fronte meno importante è quello finlandese ma è anche quello che impegna meno divisioni ed aerei.
Spero di riuscire a mettere tanto terreno tra le mie industrie in Germania ed il fronte: non ho abbastanza caccia per coprire tutte le città e dare sufficiente scorta agli aerei. Per fortuna Gamma sta usando la sua aviazione contro le mie truppe in prima linea: riparare gli slot di produzione richiederebbe moltissimi supplies che non ho.

La curiosità era tanta e ho convinto Gamma ad iniziare questa partita. E' un MOD impegnativo quasi quanto il gioco originale ma per ora sembra fatto bene, ovvio ha tutti i limiti di un MOD (HR da seguire per esempio).

Più a nord, avevo ordinato alla 5^ divisione di fanteria rumena di superare il fiume sicuro di trovarmi di fronte solo una divisione di fucilieri ma mi sbagliavo. Le divisioni di fanteria nemica erano 2 supportate da ben due divisioni corazzate: le perdite rumene sono state pesanti ma la testa di ponte è stata tenuta nonostante un successivo attacco russo. Chi ha detto che le truppe rumene non sanno battersi?

Posso farti una domanda? Nei primi post eri molto preoccupato riguardo la sua aviazione, ma guardando le perdite noto che è già oltre le 2200, contro neanche 200; considerando che i suoi rimpiazzi saranno molti novellini (o pensi di no?), e che i tuoi fanno esperienza continua, ti preoccupa ancora la situazione?

Assolutamente si, il numero sembra alto ma non lo è! Il pool a disposizione di gamma è praticamente illimitato. I piloti sono novellini ma riesce a colmare le perdite senza problemi.
Inoltre nell'ultimo turno, che ho appena fatto girare non ancora nell'aar, 90 bombardieri pesanti partiti dalla Crimea si sono presentati su Bucarest ed hanno danneggiato il 60% delle industrie di armamenti (quelle che adesso mi servono di più gggrrrrrr), complice un mio errore nel settare i caccia presenti nella base, che rabbia!
Se iniziasse una campagna di pesanti bombardamenti sarei veramente nei guai, prima conquisto Ucraina e Bielorussia prima potrò avere qualche speranza di vincere.

Intando a sud le truppe rumene della III armata e alcune unità tedesche sono pronte per una nuova offensiva.




Industria
Oggi ha segnato un importante punto di svolta nella strategia russa: per la prima volta bombardieri russi hanno colpito le industrie a Memel e Bucarest. Per miei errori non c'erano caccia a protezione di queste due città e i danni, soprattutto a Bucarest, sono importanti.




Visto i risultati dei miei bombardamenti contro truppe nemiche ho preso la decisione per i prossimi turni di lasciare a terra i bombardieri e concentrare i caccia solo in missioni CAP sui centri di prodzione. Spero di logorare la sua aviazione e nel contempo allontanare la linea del fronte a sufficienza (anche se questo richiederà molto tempo, forse 4 mesi).
Non ho molte riserve e la produzione è già insufficiente per un fronte così ampio quindi mantenere al 100% la produzione industriale è di vitale importanza.

Mi sembra che la Wermacht si stia comportando egregiamente, il bombardamento industriale è pericoloso, credo sia effettivamente la scelta più sensata puntare tutto sulla CAP lasciando riposare i bombardieri, altrimenti con cosa lo bombarderai il Cremlino??

Mi piace anche il tuo modo di scrivere l'AAR, con numerose immagine e indicazioni, così uno non deve impazzire con Google Maps per trovare i luoghi di cui parli!

Per il resto credo sia pericoloso sottovalutare il fronte Nord, non so se il MOD prevede qualcosa a riguardo, ma chiudere gli eventuali rinforzi alleati a Murmansk lo ritengo fondamentale,
Anche perchè al Nord l'inverno picchia più duro, rischi di trovarti bloccato molto prima rispetto che in Ucraina, per me devi arrivare ad Arcangelo il prima possibile, creando un'immensa sacca ed interrompendo una preziosissima linea di rifornimento sovietica.
Al Sud è giusto concentrare i caccia per proteggere industrie e petrolio, ma l'avanzata rischia di essere troppo logorante nelle immense pianure russe, Baku non credo sia raggiungibile.
