    Dunque.


    Siamo oramai a fine '42 e continuo l'offensiva su ogni fronte ma inizio ad avere i miei dubbi riguardo le tempistiche: sia in India che in Cina potrei trovarmi ancora a combattere per Giugno '43.
    Sarebbe una situazione nefasta.

    In India continuo a marciare dappertutto e credo di poter conquistare ogni cosa velocemente e in relativa sicurezza. In Cina invece sto portando via alcune divisioni di fanteria unrestricted che avevo diretto nell'area per partecipare alla grande offensiva di Novembre. La cosa mi lascia abbastanza indietro in fatto di AV.

    Quindi, in definitiva, ho preso la grande decisione di assediare Chungking ma di non dedicarmi all'orribile città. Semplicemente, entrerò nell'hex da ogni lato e ci terrò qualche migliaio di AV a reggere eventuali assalti del cinese per liberarsi. Chiaramente il resto della Cina è mio.


    Le prossime mosse sono solamente la logica conclusione di mesi di manovre e scontri:
    - sbarco in forze a Celyon
    - assedio aereonavale a Port Moresby
    - cattura della piana di Chungking

    Priorità assoluta è invece il rafforzamento del perimetro difensivo. Non che io tema offensive in grande stile da parte di Alleato adesso, ma voglio avere tutto pronto per quando potrà lanciarle spensieratamente.
    Le divisioni di fanteria che presidieranno le Kurili e le Gilbert meridionali sono già in marcia in Cina per raggiungere Shangai. Da lì si imbarcheranno alla volta di Onshu dove a dio piacendo recupereranno in fretta gli effettivi (una divisione ha 2 squadre di fanteria fra attive e disabled....).
    La flotta di superficie supporta l'assalto a Celyon e poi si dirige in zona Port Moresby.
    Le Kido Butai vanno in riparazione ad Onshu e poi plausibilmente faranno un raid nelle Aleutine per affondare il naviglio di Alleato nell'area.

    Le DEI non sono neglette: ho ancora da massacrare le truppe di Alleato a SUD di Darwin. Credo che distaccherò la 3rd Tank Division dalla Cina.

    Nulla di nuovo. Le due Kido Butai si fermano a Kobe e Kure per le riparazioni dopo la battaglia nelle Gilbert meridionali: ne avranno per circa due settimane. I danni sono minimi ma voglio avere le CV sempre pronte alla battaglia senza danni ai sistemi o ai motori.
    Continuo a muovere truppe e risorse a ritmo forsennato.


    2) Teatro Pacifico Sud-Occidentale

    Nulla di nuovo. Continuo a movimentare truppe verso le Gilbert meridionali. In loading un 40k supplies da Truk: gli ENG consumano ad un ritmo forsennato.

    La situazione è complessa. Provo la ritirata verso NORD nel deserto ma ho il timore finirà malamente. Intanto, cerco di trasportare le truppe disponibili nelle DEI verso Darwin stessa: sono solo 2-300AV ma spero bastino per reggere e tenere sotto controllo l'area mentre raduno truppe dappertutto.

    Ho deciso di andare decisamente pesante con 4 divisioni, 3 di fanteria e 1 tank. La prima delle tre si sta muovendo via ferrovia verso Shangai da Hankow in questo momento, le altre seguiranno a ruota. Sono malmesse, ma possono fare il loro sporco lavoro.

    In circa una settimana radunerò 7-8 divisioni di fanteria a Hyderabad e le lancio all'assalto di Bellary per finire i porci asserragliati.

    nah.... Vedila così: Alleato ha perso gran parte dell'India e gran parte della Cina. Per quanto possa farmi male perdere le truppe a SUD di Darwin, non cambia nulla nel grande equilibrio della guerra. In questo preciso momento ho 4 divisioni che dalla Cina si stanno muovendo verso Onshu per avere replacements vari e poi andare a punire i cani in Australia.
    Senza contare che ogni giorno stendo un bel po' di truppe alleate: fra Cina e India le perdite di Alleato sono tali che dubito fortemente possa riuscire a ripienare i suoi ranghi nel '43. Vero che gli USA sono intonsi, ma comunque un paio di divisioni almeno in India sono state inghiottite. Senza contare gli a/c...

    Per contro, non riesco a produrre abbastanza nonostante io stia tirando l'industria giappo al massimo: le centinaia di LB perse ogni mese per la FlaK e danni vari sono decisamente troppa roba per me. Sto iniziando a valutare di tagliare il supporto aereo per limitare le perdite. Il guaio è che sia in India che in Cina è fondamentale bombardare pesantemente e la campagna di Port Moresby non è ancora iniziata (sarà un altro bagno di sangue...). Vedrò che fare una volta che l'India è soggiogata.

    Un assalto di parà conquista una base di Alleato all'estrema punta dell'India, Trivandrum. Niente di eclatante, ma utile. Cochin è oramai l'ultima base in mano ad Alleato al di sotto della linea di attivazione dei rinforzi d'emergenza. Restano ancora in mani nemiche pure Celyon e Bellary.

    Bellary, assediata, vede bombardamenti continui da parte delle artiglierie pesanti nipponiche. Diverse divisioni stanno marciando sulla base per l'assalto finale.

    Per Celyon ho altri piani che prevedono uno sbarco a Jaffna e poi una spinta verso l'interno molto molto decisa. Chiaramente sarà una carneficina, ma è la battaglia finale.


    Oggi nella rada di Madras perdo un AK e un DMS per colpa di un sub alleato.
