È un gioco strategico come Age of Wonders e Heroes of Might and Magic e Dominions. Ha alcuni aspetti di tutti questi giochi. E adesso devo cambiare la lingua per l'inglese, perché è troppo difficile continuare in italiano.

In Eador you play as an immortal being, an Astral Master, who tries to unite shards of a shattered world under his control. You begin with very little and conquering other shards (each its own self-contained world) unlocks better troops and infrastructure buildings for you. At first you will mostly fight local lords for control of shards, but eventually you will face other Astral Masters. Your choices in the game carry with you in some respects and shape the paths available to you, whether you become good or evil. Things like summoning demons or undead are evil acts and spending gold to relieve a famine is an example of a good act. Random events in the game have good and evil choices as well as neutral.

On every shard you have a home province, the demesne, where you build the buildings that give you troops and other effects. Provinces can have adventure locations (monster lairs, shops, quest crystals etc) and they are not fully explored when you conquer them. Even your starting province is not fully explored. Exploring provinces allows them to grow larger and you can find more locations that you can loot.

Key aspects are to take good care of your troops, because like heroes, normal troops can also level up and can become really tough if they survive a long while. There are four types of heroes: Warrior, Wizard, Commander (boosts troops, does not fight a whole lot personally) and Scout (archer/explorer). Heroes can choose to become pure single-class or multiclass at level 10. Single class gets higher benefits and more skills of its own class, multi is limited to level 3 out of five in the skills of both classes. There is further specialization later.

If you play custom games instead of the campaign, all techs are unlocked immediately and then what you should build depends on what kind of start you have. If you want a look at what the building tech tree looks like, download it here: http://koti.welho.com/ehalttun/public_files/eador/eador_building_charts.zip

I made that for Eador 1 because the only available documentation was in Russian and I needed it to make sense of the game. They actually used that to help construct the building interface for Eador 2, though to this date those charts are the clearest presentation of what links where and how if you want to see things at a glance.

Eador 2 was very buggy at release due to a rushed schedule (I was in the beta), but it has been significantly patched for the past three months and is now very playable. It has gorgeous graphics and addictive gameplay, though some things do get repetitive over time (namely the battles).

You can buy the game on Steam or gog.com.

Edirr conviene esplorare le singole province fino al 100% e poi espandersi?

Non è necessario esplorare fino al 100% prima di espandersi. È megliore espandere qualche province e poi esplorare. Ci sono molte informazione di Eador 2 sul foro officiale.
