1. A fine Agosto NWI smetterà di essere online....
    .... ma non smetterà di essere, nel bene e nel male, nei miei ricordi.

    Potrei scrivere "25 gloriosi anni di attività" ma sappiamo benissimo che da diversi anni il forum era praticamente morto, frequentato da pochissimi aficionados, più che altro per scrivere i loro interessanti AAR. A questa situazione di abbandono ho contribuito certamente anche io quando ho dato una diversa priorità alle attività del mio sempre più esiguo tempo libero.
    Nonostante ciò ho continuato per tutti questi anni a tenere tutto "acceso" perché mi sembrava tradire tutti noi spegnendo NWI.

    Ora sento di essere giunto al punto dove credo di aver fatto la mia parte e staccare la spina adesso mi porta ad avere molta meno amarezza e sensi di colpa (più o meno).

    Un grosso (e tardivo perché lo sto aggiungendo ora con un edit di questo messaggio) ringraziamento va a tutti quelli che in questi 25 anni hanno dato una mano e a volte anche il braccio per portare avanti la baracca. Ovviamente senza di loro non si sarebbe neanche potuto iniziare.

    Un abbraccio (per chi lo vuole ) virtuale a tutti voi ed un augurio di continuare ad avere quanto più tempo possibile per "nerdare" coi nostri giochi preferiti.

Riprendere a giocare con Win 10: quale versione ?

    va bene ? O devo prendere altre versioni ? Mod assolutamente da scaricare ? Se non sbaglio 1.13 vero ?

    Non sono interessato ad Urban Caos per il momento, vorrei giocare l'ambientazione classica.

    Ho letto che per farlo girare su win10 bisogna scaricarsi un eseguibile non so dove e sovrascrivere l'originale. Ma vale anche se uso 1.13 ? E 1.13 gira su win 10 ?

    Qualcuno ci gioca con win 10 ?

    Per la 1.13 l'ultima versione stabile è la 7609 (che da comunque problemi se si usa troppo la milizia e si lasciano troppi oggetti sulla mappa)

    delle versioni test ne esce una ogni 15 giorni ormai, l'ultima è questa:

    Mai installato su win10. Ma in qualsiasi versione recente della 1.13 c'è una cartella "Docs" contenente la roba per risolvere i problemi con win 7-10:

    INSTALLATION OF THE PERFORMANCE FIXES:

    *** STEP 1: Temporary extract the patch/fix files ***
    - Extract the "Windows 7-10 Fix.zip" file to a temporary folder (e.g: C:\Temp\JA2_Fix)

    *** STEP 2: Run the PerformanceFix.reg file ***
    - Before applying the registry file, open it with a text editor (e.g: notepad) and change the default path to the 1.13 executable ("C:\\Games\\Jagged Alliance 2\\ja2.exe") to your JA2 1.13 Installation directory and executable file
    - Run the registry file (double click)

    Try to run the game now. If you still have performance issues, then apply STEP 3

    *** STEP 3: Additional Performance fix ***
    - Copy the following files from the temporary folder (e.g: C:\Temp\JA2_Fix\GameDir) in your JA2 1.13 Installation directory and override any existing files
    -> ddraw.dll
    -> libwine.dll
    -> wined3d.dll

    Try to run the game now. If you still have performance issues, then you can try out additional settings (STEP 4 - STEP 7)

    *** STEP 4: Disable the JA2 intro ***
    - Open the "Ja2.ini" file with a text editor (e.g: notepad) in your Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13 Installation directory
    - Search for PLAY_INTRO and change it to PLAY_INTRO = 0
    - Save the file and close it

    *** STEP 5 (optional): Set the game to "Windowed Mode" to play JA2 1.13 in Windowed Mode ***
    - Open the "Ja2.ini" file with a text editor (e.g: notepad) in your Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13 Installation directory
    - Seach for SCREEN_MODE_WINDOWED and set it to SCREEN_MODE_WINDOWED = 1
    - Save the file and close it
    - Right click on the JA2 1.13 executable (ja2.exe), edit the properties and check the "Compatibility" mode
    -> Check the "Reduced color mode" to 16-bit
    - Set your Windows Desktop Color Schema to 16 Bit (instead of 32 Bit).
    -> Screen Resolution -> Advanced Settings -> Monitor -> Colors -> "High Color (16 bit)
    *** STEP 6: Set processor affinity for "ja2.exe" to only ONE CPU (CPU 0) ***

    con che versione della 1.13 consigli di giocare ? io preferisco rinunciare a features in piu in cambio di maggiore stabilita. Sto cmq usando l'iltimissima del 15 marzo. Bhe usando....la prima missione non l'ho salvata :D ......partito malissimo.
    Ho la sensazione che in passato ho giocato solo con la versione vanilla...alcune cose mi sembrano nuove...ad esempio non ricordavo che i punti azione fossero dell'ordine delle decine sino ad arrivare e superare 100 (ed ovviamente il costo delle azioni e' incrementato di conseguenza).
    Ricordo massimo 30-40 punti azione.

    Io sto usando la 7535 e a parte qualche crash sporadico non mi ha ancora mandato in vacca la partita. Il sistema in base 100 permette di limare un mucchio di robe e diversificare le armi e gli oggetti usabili, in origine era a base 20.
