La fuga dal disastro di Tavoy La battaglia aereo navale per lo sbarco a Tavoy è stata persa. Gli aereo siluranti giapponesi hanno colpito duro, le nostre BB sono gravemente danneggiate, difficilmente torneranno in un porto. Abbiamo ordinato di annullare invasione via mare, sarebbe folle senza copertura aerea, e i trasporti della 5th Inf Brigade andranno a Rangoon, dove ho ordinato CAP e LR CAP. Nella mappa si vedono le altre decisioni, ho ordinato a tutte le navi da battaglia di sganciarsi, annullare la missione bombardamento, e cercare lo scontro vicino a Port Blair, per liberare il blocco navale giapponese, e tentare di salvare le navi danneggiate che non entrano a Rangoon e non possono navigare fino a Calcutta o Madras (affonderebbero prima). Ecco lo stato di una delle BB colpite, la Valiant. Se non libero il blocco navale di Port Blair, nessuna BB ritornerà in un porto. La situazione in questo braccio di mare è disperata...

17 novembre 1942 Fuga verso la salvezza Le nostre flotte, duramente colpite, si sono ritirate. Ecco la situazione nei vari porti. PortBlair. La revenge si è salvata. Rangoon, le navi si sono messe in salvo. La BB Valiant viaggia a 3 nodi, ho messo tutte le navi disponibili in zona in escort. Mancano 80 miglia al porto. La CAP ci ha protetti oggi. Infine, dall'altro lato dell'oceano, la CV si sono messe in salvo a Pearl-Harbour Le altre due CV sono in rotta per San Francisco. Due domande, se potete aiutarmi: 1) come si fa a fare l'upgrade delle navi e in particolare delle CV? 2) come si fa a riempire i ranghi degli squadroni imbarcati sulle CV?
1) devi disbandare la CV in un porto che abbia i requisiti necessari all'upgrade... ...andando nella schermata della CV in questione e premendo sulla scritta "Upgrade" (in giallo in basso a dx) potrai vedere sia la grandezza minima richiesta del Repair Shipyard (nel caso in figura è necessario portare la CVL in un porto che abbia un Repair Shipyard di almeno 15, Minimum Shipyard Size) sia il tempo necessario al completamento dell'upgrade (nel mio caso 15 turni, Minimum Upgrade Delay). Una volta individuato il porto adatto ci porti la nave, la disbandi ed in basso a dx selezioni "Yes". Finisci il tuo turno, e durante la risoluzione del Combat Replay ti apparirà una scritta "CV *** begin refit in shipyard". Quando i lavori finiranno ci sarà un messaggio sul Combat Report (per quanto sia scomodo e disordinato ti conviene leggerlo ogni turno, dedicaci almeno un minuto, ci trovi tutte le info di cui hai bisogno); 2) porta le CV in un porto (non importa disbandarle) e potrai rinfoltire i ranghi degli aerei imbarcati. Non è possibile farlo in navigazione. PS. ti do un consiglio, decidi te se seguirlo o meno: quando fai un convoglio "Escort" per le navi danneggiate, adotta i seguenti settaggi: - cruise speed; - no refuel; - auto disband.

Sul primo punto, quindi avendo portato le navi a Pearl Harbour che ha 100 di shipyard mi pare e poiché la scritta upgrade e sempre sul Yes in automatico, allora dovrebbero andare in automatico in upgrade, se sono nel mese adatto. Giusto?
I vengeance vanno molto bene per gli attacchi navali, sono bombardieri in picchiata, l'altezza a cui li hai impostati era perfetta, alla fine della picchiata sganciano la bomba a 2-3000 piedi. Secondo me hanno performato male perché c'era tempesta nell'esagono e non sono addestratissimi, a che livello sono di naval bombing e di esperienza? I betty sono andati alla grande perché probabilmente nelle squadriglie hanno ancora un po' dei superpiloti dell'inizio. A Tavoy lo sbarco non serviva, c'erano solo meccanici e genieri, se facevi un bombardamento aereo preliminare da Rangoon lo potevi scoprire prima, e ti evitavi di organizzare uno sbarco senza copertura aerea. Cmq si impara molto di piú dalle disfatte che dalle vittorie. Vai cosí che stai andando alla grande, tra un po' già intravedo il primo PBEM Lirico

La battaglia terrestre di Tavoy Stiamo spostando via terra una spedizione in direzione Bangkok, i problemi sono i rifornimenti: altre 3 brigate australiane seguono la colonna principale della spedizione di attacco via terra: qui si vede che siamo già vicini a bangkok, ma non conosciamo le forze giapponesi. in giallo la forza principale, in blu le 3 brigate australiane di rinforzo: Il diabolico piano per bangkok. Qualcuno mi dice come si fa un attacco aviotrasportato? I chindit possono paracadutarsi ? La battaglia di Tulagi A tulagi, abbiamo ridotto i forti giapponesi al secondo livello di difesa. Cosa vuol dire? Che i giapponesi fanno shock attack oppure io faccio shock attack? Avere unità di genieri riduce le penalità?
tu fai shock attack perché attraversi un fiume, e inoltre le tue unità vengono disrupted (che peggiora il rapporto di combattimento). No, i combat eng servono a ridurre i forti del nemico, gli eng normali credo solo a costruire aeroporto/porto/forts in una tua base.
ah, quindi è un casino attraversare un fiume, se ho ben capito fatto uno shock attack in svantaggio, e rischio parecchie perdite. consigli su come attraversare il fiume? il mio piano prevede attacco da ovest dal fiume e aviosbarco a nord di bangkok nell'esagono sopra la città per poi convergere a sud. non so, mi sembra un piano molto avventato. non ho pensato a sbarcare dal mare, non ho molte navi da guerra in zona, e i suoi aereo siluranti sono molto efficienti. suggerimenti?
Dipende chi e cosa c'é dall'altra parte del fiume fai una ricognizione e un bombardamento aereo cosí sai chi hai di fronte. Se ci sono 3 gatti attraversi senza troppe fisime. Se il nemico é trincerato in forze in terreno con bonus difensivo passi da un'altra parte A volte non puoi scegliere, come quando devi attaccare Singapore,allora massimizzi le tue truppe, incroci le dita e oltrepassi!
fare il giro o avere molti AV. okkio che mi sa che pure i parà quando si lanciano fanno uno shock attack e sono disrupted. dal mare dovresti fare il giro della malesia no?
@Lirio : quando attraversi un fiume assicurati che le tue LCU arrivino nell'esagono in questione tutte insieme (usa il comando follow) ed in Combat Mode (serve a minimizzare le perdite).
grazie. combat mode ok mi è chiaro. tutte insieme vuol dire che devo dire a tutte di seguire la prima dicendo follow? anche se hanno velocità diversa (meccanizzate o fanteria) arrivano insieme?
dal mare ho paura di perdere navi e truppe per i parà non si pone il problema, non ho la pallida idea di come fare un lancio di parà
