    Mhhh ... cedono sotto i colpi dei P47, ma contro altri modelli (spit, lightnings e persino P51) se la cavano egregiamente, direi.

    Adesso parecchie squadriglie equipaggiate con P47 upgradano a P51 e son lì che metto upgrade off a tutte, ma il problema è che non ne arrivano più ... o son tutti in europa oppure proprio non ne vengono più prodotti ... :(

    a me impressiona di più l'efficacia dei B25 o altri quadrimotori, sono pazzeschi!
    L'unico a potersela giocare forse è il Tojo con l'Hispano, ma risultati effettivi ne ho visti pochi sul sito matrix.

    I 4E non li tiri giù facile con i 20mm è questo il guaio.
    Inoltre se guardi il replay vedi che la grossa difficoltà dei caccia è nel riuscire ad avvicinarsi alle formazioni di bombardieri.

    Credo che non ci siano vere e proprie soluzioni possibili, anche perché i 2E giappo tipo il Nick fanno vomitare, dunque nemmeno quelli ti danno una mano.

    Avere qualcosa con i 30mm cambierebbe le carte in tavola ma ad averli...


    In linea di massima credo che i George con 4x20mm possano danneggiare assai i 4E ma per il resto....

    Anche i mitchell (specie quelli della marina) non sfigurano ... notare che l'exp medio degli equipaggi è intorno ai 60 ... va bene incontrare Oscar e - probabilmente - con piloti "morbidi", così i miei equipaggi cominciano ad andar su di skills in vista delle battaglie sopra le isole giapponesi, che si preannunciano epiche :).

    Il problema di base è che gli aerei giappo non hanno armi "1 centro 1 morto", quindi magari li danneggi anche i 4e ma non vengono giù. Meglio sarebbe avere un'rma che danneggia meno ma abbatte gli aerei.

    Gli Oscar temo siano abbastanza ignobili tutti quanti ma credo abbia una sua logica usarli come escort e in battaglie LBA vs carriers. Gli scontri con gli aerei imbarcati sono ad altezze relativamente basse e l'agilità degli Oscar può dire la sua.

    L’operazione “Chronicle”, fortemente voluta dal comando inglese del SE asiatico per cercare di accelerare la conquista di Singapore, è ormai in fase esecutiva da giorni.

    Vi prendono parte due gruppi navali, uno formato dalle TF 46 (CVE) e 255 (amph.) e l’altra da 7 TF CVE (87, 388, 500, 502, 510, 512, 517, scortate da un gruppo ASW, il numero 170.

    Obiettivo è quello di occupare Mersing assaltandola dal mare e possibilmente in rapidità raggiungere in quel punto la costa occidentale malese, chiudendo Singapore in una morsa, evitando così che le truppe giapponesi in ritirata dal centro nord della penisola possano congiungersi con i difensori della città.

    TF 502: 7 CVE, 1 CA; 1 CL; 4 DD; 3 DE; 204 aerei imbarcati, di cui 21 in riserva;
    TF 510: 6 CVE; 1 CA; 1 CL; 3 DD; 3 DE; 175 aerei imbarcati, di cui 18 in riserva;
    TF 512: 4 CVE; 1 CA; 2 DD; 2 DE; 110 aerei imbarcati, di cui 9 in riserva;
    TF 518: 4 CVE; 2 CA; 3 DD; 1 DE; 115 aerei imbarcati, di cui 12 in riserva.

    La forza aerea di questo gruppo è suddivisa all’incirca per un terzo tra bombardieri (quasi tutti TB a parte una squadriglia di helldiver) e 2/3 caccia (parecchi wildcat FM2 e una cospicua quota di hellcat).

    SWP avrà un impiego misto: l’attacco al naviglio nemico nel raggio di 7 esa dal punto di stazionamento, che sarà a 2 esa al largo di Mersing (in patrol su tre esagoni), l’attacco alla CAP avversaria su Singapore, che verrà portato da tutte le squadriglie di Hellcat presenti, nel tentativo di guadagnare la superiorità aerea e la difesa del gruppo stesso.
