    però sinceramente non capisco, quando ricapita di avere in mano come jap 2/3 di mappa e l’alleato all’angolo?
    Un po’ di sperimentazioni e si trova la misura, anche ci volesse un mese, avrebbe avuto tutto il tempo.

    Aggiornamento.

    Tre interessati a continuare. Due di NWI ed un esterno. Ovviamente do la precedenza al primo che si è annunciato (che è l'esterno), il quale mi ha chiesto qualche giorno per pensarci. Vediamo che deciderà. Se non dovesse continuare ho un interessato sicuro di NWI.

    Nel frattempo mi è pure venuta la folle idea di continuare la partita contro me stesso, tenendo le due parti e gestendole (soprattutto quella jap) come una sorta di boardgame, basandomi quasi esclusivamente su sigint e recon e lasciando le decisioni sulle varie opzioni di reazione ad un tiro di dadi o, addirittura, ad una sorta di "votazione su questo AAR".

    Il primo pretendente ha rinunciato.
    La palla è quindi passata a Cap. Hydra, che, da oggi, è ufficialmente alla guida delle forze imperiali del Sol Levante e che non è più benvenuto su questo AAR :D
    Questo sarà l'ultimo tentativo per questa partita che mi ha un po' rotto le palle. Volevo già eliminarla definitivamente dopo l'adbicazione del precedente imperatore. Vediamo come va questa.

    Che io ricordi CapHydra / Pickett si arrese dopo tipo una settimana di gioco contro di me perché si lamentava di ogni cosa (sopratutto i 4E che bombardavano i suoi pozzi di OIL appena catturati).

    C'è un AAR da qualche parte come solito ma non ho voglia di cercarlo.


    EDIT: è l'inizio dell'AAR "Pacific Bunga Bunga" fino a pagina 7 o giù di lì. Si arrese al 17 Dicembre, dunque un po' più che una settimana di gioco.

    Dai è passato un po' di tempo, speriamo abbia fatto un po' di esperienza e che non si arrenda alla prima difficoltà. Diamine, parte con 2/3 delle terre emerse nella mappa nelle sue mani.

    25-26 dicembre 1942

    È arrivato il primo turno da parte del nuovo imperatore del Giappone. Si ricomincia.
    Metto assieme i due turni perché per il 25 (ultimo turno prima dell'abdicazione), non avevo postato nulla.
    Pare che il giorno di Natale il jap avesse subito la perdita di una cinquantina e più di caccia. Il combat me ne da solo 24. Possibile che ci sia questa disparità di informazioni?
    Sicché, in due giorni, farebbero grosso modo 130 caccia nemici distrutti. Sarebbe un bel colpo se fosse vero (soprattutto per il numero di piloti nemici eliminati), anche se mi pare strano.

    Comunque sia, il 26 nei cieli della Birmania non si vede praticamente nessun velivolo con il disco rosso sulle ali, se si escludono i noiosi Nick che vanno a martellare i poveri cinesi nella regione di Paoshan.
    I miei 4E colpiscono quindi l'aeroporto di Myitkyina, mentre i 2E vanno su quello di Shwebo, praticamente incontrastati se non dalla flak.
    Perdo 1 B-24 su Myitkyina, 1 B-26 ed 1 Blenheim IV su Shwebo ed 1 Vengeance per un bombardamento sulle truppe nemiche nella giungla.
    Turno tutto sommato tranquillo quindi.
    Caccia nemici in CAP non se ne vedono. Forse corrisponde a verità la perdita di tutti quei caccia, per cui i nemici si stanno leccando le ferite?
    Lo scopriremo senz'altro nel corso dei prossimi turni.

    Dove ha sbagliato secondo te?
    Mi dice di aver fatto CAP stratificate e di aver cambiato anche più volte le quote ma i risultati sono sempre stati pessimi. Questo turno comunque il peggiore.

    Ma quando mai, prendi questo esempio, a caso:


    Lui bello bello con la CAP a 31.000ft si scontra contro i P-38F che sono aerei abbastanza indigesti se li incontri a 'ste quote. I P-38 uno se li mangia a colazione se tiene le CAP con Oscar e Zero sotto i 6.000ft.

    Tra l'altro senza radar, senza aerei in cielo prima del raid, senza un cazzo.



    Chiaro che se non ha una remota idea di come usare l'aviazione, già ad inizio 1943 accusa.


    Qui il poveretto ha messo su una CAP stravagante fra 12.000ft e 31.000ft, una roba senza senso. O stai in basso o stai in alto da che mondo è mondo. Riesce comunque a fare un po' meglio, ma contro i P-40K sarebbe stato sconcertante il contrario.

    Perde Oscar e Tojo perché in LRCAP, iddio solo sa perché.

    Posto uno voglia difendere Shwebo (?!?!?!), doveva tenere un gruppo di Oscar-Ia a 3.000ft, i Tojo a 6.000ft e gli Zero a 9.000ft. Niente LRCAP e CAP tenuta al 30-70% secondo le previsioni per i turni successivi (70% ma anche 100% se difesa di punto per un singolo turno, 30% se difesa continuata nel tempo). Un paio di radar aiutano molto.

    Tu arrivavi, andavi in dive sugli Oscar che sicuramente schivavano bene i tuoi goffi bimotori e poi nel dogfight a medie quote ti faceva a pezzi. Uguale per P-40 ed altra immondizia. Gli Spitfire-V e poi Spitfire-VIII sono i veri killer per questo genere di CAP, ma se ne hanno pochi. Per questo punto del match dovrebbe avere già da tempo gli A6M5c-Zero che fanno molto male in difesa.



    Qua ha fatto un casino con le LRCAP ed ha i piloti stanchissimi, anche sweeppando a 29.000ft l'hai massacrato chiaramente.


    Tenere le CAP così alte e per giunta mettere LRCAP è follia. Così come il resto dei suoi attacchi aerei: no sweep, nick in bombing, bombing da 10.000ft su un bersaglio aperto come Kunming, CAP altissime a stancarsi, etc.


    Insomma, non ha la più pallida idea di cosa fare. Presumibilmente avrebbe pessimi tassi di perdite/uccisioni anche contro i Bufalo.



    Ancora a metà 1944 il Giapponese può dire la sua nei cieli in fase difensiva, Blizzard contro di me ed io contro Stefano ne siamo la prova provata.
    Blizzard reggeva benone col mix classico di Oscar e Frank-R/George-III. Quando ci infilava gli A6M8-Zero subiva molto, però, specie contro i Corsair ed i P-47.


    Nel match in questione sono andato pesante sulla R&D del Tony, aereo molto difficile da giocare, ma che ha i suoi pregi nella versione finale. Se uno le prende già a fine '42, auguri a farsi il resto del match coi Tony.

    Nuovo turno. Abbiamo ripreso da dove avevo interrotto con il precedente avversario.
    La differenza è che ho subito più perdite nei cieli. La causa è da ricercarsi in due motivi.

    Sono andato a caccia dei fastidiosi Nick che, da tempo, tormentavano le truppe cinesi nell'area di Paotang.
    Già più di una volta avevo mandato i P-38 in LRCAP senza successo. Questa volta, invece, hanno fatto centro, abbattendo diversi Ki-45.
    Con i Lightning in LRCAP a caccia di Nick, gli unici caccia con un range sufficiente a svolgere sweep sui cieli birmani erano i P-40K, che hanno attaccato Shwebo a ondate. Numerosi sono andati persi, ma hanno ottenuto svariati successi.

    I bombardieri 4E, invece, li ho mandati sull'aeroporto che non avevo ancora colpito, ovvero Lashio. Era la base dei Nick, ed altri ne sono stati distrutti al suolo.
    I 2E, invece, hanno colpito un po' di truppe nemiche nella giungla birmana, ma con scarso successo.

    Anche il mio avversario, però, non è stato a guardare ed ha mandato una cinquantina di Helen sulle truppe australiane asserragliate a Kalemyo. Cinque sono stati abbattuti dalla contraerea e 23 risultano danneggiati. I danni a terra sono stati insignificanti.

    Alla fine della giornata i conti sembrano ancora a mio favore: 1 Blenheim IV e 7 P-40K abbattuti (questi ultimi tutti sopra Shwebo).
    I giapponesi sembrano abbiano perso un totale di 38 velivoli, tra cui, oltre ai già citati Helen, 16 Nick (di cui 7 distrutti al suolo) e 17 caccia.

    Allego il combat.txt per chi fosse interessato ad ulteriori analisi.
