Da ovest,180 miglia da Vladivostok, il Gen. Patton è entrato in contatto contro due divisioni russe supportate da art. pesante a difesa del confine Russo. In aiuto manderò due div. da Vladivostok e una da nord assieme a 3 brigate di art. Non credo di riuscire a fermarlo, ma almeno rallentarlo. Questo consentirebbe trà un paio di giorni di sbloccare la situazione a Sunwu e avere libere le truppe li dislocate. Il fatto è che non ho appoggio aereo mentre Pat nè ha in abbondanza.
Resto ancora perplesso a riguardo dell'esiguità delle forze messe in campo da Patton. Può darsi che ciò sia un diversivo per qualche altra azione, ma al momento non riesco a individuarla. Mah, speriamo bene.

A Ulan Bator truppe Jap da diversi turni erano entrate nella città senza mai attaccare. La città era completamente sguarnita. Forse Patton si era dimenticato di loro, ma conoscendolo nè dubito. Ad ogni qual modo ho fatto confluire una Div. di fanteria per sloggiarli. L'ordine di attacco è stato dato. Nel prossimo turno vedremo se avrà successo.

A completamento del post precedente un paio di screen della situazione nel settore russo. Ulan Bator e il settore sud russo.

Quello che non riesco a capire è come mai Pat non faccia uso della forza navale per mettere in ginocchio le mie art. a difesa di Vladivostok :humm: e si che ne ha a sufficenza.
L' unica volta che lo ha fatto mi ha distrutto circa una trentina di aerei con qualche cosa come 1100 unità.

Per il resto nulla di particolare da segnalare tranne il fatto che a tutt'oggi il servizio informazioni alleato non è ancora riuscito a sapere dove è dislocata la flotta imperiale d'attacco.

In questi ultimi giorni di guerra non vi è nulla di particolare da segnalare per quanto riguarda le operazioni belliche. Il nemico è sulle posizioni precedenti, ma andiamo con ordine.

F R O N T E R U S S O

Vladivostok ha subito pesanti bombardamenti navali da parte della flotta Japponese che ha distrutto infrastrutture militari e circa una trentina di bombardieri a terra che non ho potuto spostare data l'impraticabilità dell'aereoporto.

Sunwu I russi con l'appoggio aereo bombardano costantemente le truppe Jap e restano in attesa dei rinforzi il cui arrivo è previsto tra 4 gorni circa. All'arrivo dei rinforzi si tenterà un attacco per scacciarli dalla città.

Ulan Bator Nel turno precedente avevo dato l'ordine di attacco, ma le truppe giapponesi si sono defilate. Non riesco a capire come ciò sia stato possibile.
Pur sotto bombardamento si sono spostate in un esagono controllato dagli alleati e in dierezione di una città sempre controllata dagli alleati.. In un altro gioco via mail a me non è stato possibile farlo.

Su questo fronte l'andazzo è più tranquillo per gli alleati. I Jap subiscono quotidianamente i bombardamenti cinesi sia via terra che dal cielo. Nel prossimo turno credo che proverò un deliberate attack a Changsha.
In un turno precedente avevo effettuato uno shock attack che pur essendo riuscito con una forte percentuale a mio favore mi aveva procurato forti perdite.

B U R M A

I bombardamenti aerei alleati in questo settore sono costanti.
L'aereoporto di Mandalay è ormai chiuso da diversi giorni. Il Gen. Patton ha provveduto comunque a spostare tutti i suoi aerei da questo teatro di guerra.
Per rendere più incisivi gli attacchi ho spostato circa 100 bombaerdieri ad Akyab dato che l'aereoporto ormai ha raggiunto la grandezza 5 e in contemporanea ho fatto confluire il loco una unità di air eng. per il supporto aereo. In tal modo anche Rangon sarà a tiro dei bombardieri minori in maniera più efficace. A Ledo 70.000 uomini si stanno preparando per marciare verso Mandalay. La conquista della città mi permeterebbe di effettuare rifornimenti verso la Cina.

Northpac

I preparativi per l'invasione di Attu Island sono praticamente terminati. Ancora un paio di giorni di bombardamenti aerei per spianare la strada alla forza di invasione e poi si procederà con l'operazione. Se tutto andrà bene avrò la possibilità, successivamente, di bombardare Petropavlosk e magari conquistarla.
Certo che sarebbe un bel colpo.

Sowpac

Bombardieri alleati si stanno ammassando sulle coste australiane. L' intento è di neutralizzare l'aereoporto di Port Moresby per consentire agli alleati la conquista di Gili Gili.

Nel resto del Pacifico le navi alleate riforniscono di uomini e mezzi i porti più importanti.

In Cina nel frattempo le unità di stanza a Changsha hanno effettuato un attacco contro le truppe Japponesi in loco.

Burma.

Continuano incessanti i bombardamenti alleati su Rangon e altre città dell'entroterra. In questo periodo vi è una fase di upgrade delle forze armate Indo-Britanniche. Nel frattempo un CV e due DD sono state ritirate dal fronte.
Unità inglesi e australiane si stanno ammassando a Ledo per entrare nel territorio controllato dai Jap. Gli aereoporti maggiori Japponesi sono fuori uso e questo mi dà libertà di movimento terrestre e navale.

Mongolia

Le unità cinesi che avevo mandato verso Ulan Bator si sono arrestate al confine mongolo. Ho scoperto successivamente con mio disappunto che le unità cinesi non possono oltrepassare nè quel confine e nenmmeno entrare in territorio russo. Per farlo bisogna cambiare L'HQ delle truppe. Vedrò il da farsi.

Russia

I bombardamenti su vladivostok non si fermano mai. Unità aeree che sono arrivate nella città con i rifornimentri si trovano ad essere distrutte a terra per l'impossibilità di usare gli aereoporti.

Nel nord della russia a Sunwu, un attacco russo ha ottenuto un bel 11-1 pur con perdite di mezzi. Ancora un paio di attacchi e le forze Jap dovranno ritirarsi. Un'ulteriore divisione russa si sta comunque dirigendo verso la città. Non si sa mai.

NorthPac

La TF Jap che ha cercato di fermare l'invasione americana di Attu Island ha desistito dal suo intento ed è ritornata in Jappone. Meno male perchè avevo il 90% degli aerei fuori uso e se avesse perseverato nella sua manovra, mi avrebbe affondato diverso naviglio carico di uomini e rifornimenti.
A questo punto ho dato l'ordine di attacco e di bombardamento navale e aereo.
Con il prossimo bollettino vedremo il risultato.

Tra un paio di giorni arriverà la CV Wasp che manderò verso Noumea per organizzare l'offensiva nel South-Pac.

Nel resto del teatro di guerra, calma piatta. Il Gen. Pat starà senz'altro escogitando qualche cosa, ma per il momento non ho sentore di nulla.

Attu I. è stata conquistata. Per un errore di imbarco truppe ho perso 3 turni prima di poterla conquistare e comunque è rimasta una sacca di resistenza che come di seguito elencato è stata eliminata dopo due attacchi..

Questo comporta un fermo di truppe per diversi turni.

Russia

I Bomb. Jap. martellano le basi russe all'inverosimile. A parte il nord della russia tutto il resto è distrutto per quanto riguarda gli aereoporti. Tra questo trambusto ho fatto arrivare a Sunwu un ulteriore divisione.
Entro due giornate il comando alleato ordinerà uno shock attac. Vedremo cosa succede.
Devo assolutamente liberare le truppe a Sunwu per rinforzare le difese a Vladivostok.
Non sarà facile e si che bombardo quotidianamente. I valori di combat sono in un rapporto di 6 a 1 in mio favorea, ma i Jap sono tanti, ben 45.000 unità.

In questo settore cercherò di mandare diverse unità di fanteria. VOGLIO conquistare Petropavlosk e avere così libero spazio per i miei bombardieri. Dato l'ingresso nella guerra da parte delle unità Russe questo deve essere un ordine imperativo.

Posso ritenere che per i Iap la perdita di Attu I. voglia voler dire rinforzare Petropavlosk. Speriamo cheil mio avversario sia cieco in tal senso è mi lasci libero il settore, ma ne dubito fortemente.

Burma

I bombardieri alleati stanno facendo un buon lavoro. Non vi è traccia di rinforzi nemici. A questo punto comincerò a mandare rinforzi di fanteria nell'entroterra per tentare la conquista di postazioni strategiche per gli alletai.

Cina.

Al momento, dati i difficili rifornimenti, stò sulla difensiva anche se sono sicuro che i Jap non tenteranno nessuna azione offensiva.
Quello che mi ha lasciato perplesso è stata la mancanza di attività da parte Japponese in questo settore. Uno stratega come il Gen. Patton non credo che lasci sguarnito un settore senza combattere, ma è questo che i cinesi si ritrovano. Tutto a mio vantaggio.

SoutPac.

Con l'arrivo della CV Wasp a S. Francisco ritengo che mandando tale unità a Noumea, ne vedremo delle belle. Ho addestrato diverse divisioni per l'invasione degli atolli limitrofi. Cambiando i piani iniziali cercherò se possibile di tagliare fuori dallo scacchiere Port Moresby. Vedremo se c'è la faccio..
Nel frattempo sono arrivate unità aeree-dicasi Liberator- sulle coste australine e nel breve periodo vedremo di neutralizzaare Gli aereoporti nemici in previsione di sbarchi.

Nel resto dei quadranti di guerra, mi stro attrezzando per le offensive che inevitabilemente dovrà programmare l'HQ alleato.

Settore russo

A Vladivostok e Uglahamensk invece sono i bombardieri Japponesi a farla da padrone. Lavorano senza tregua e senza la paura di difesa aerea russa.
Dato che Vladivostok è un porto d'arrivo per unità aeree le unità che vengono dislocate come rifornimenti inevitabilmente vengono distrutte a terra avendo l'aereoporto danni del 100%.
Furiosi bombardamenti vengono effettuati da parte delle truppe Japponesi.

Sunwu

Tempo metereologico permettendo le truppe Japponesi vengono bombardate quasi ogni giorno per incrinare le loro difese e in oltre vengono pianificati attacchi terrestri che anche riportando alti valori di attacco, al momento non riescono a sbloccare la situazione.

Durante questi giorno non vi è stato nulla di particolare da segnalare a parte una incursione aerea Japponese nella base russa di Borzoya o come cavolo si scrive, nella quale ambedue le parti hanno perso qualche cosa come 60 - 70 aerei. La base comunque non ha riportato danni rilevanti.
L'incursione voleva fermare i bombardieri che da li partono per le missioni a Sunwu.

La TF durante il ritorno per festeggiare il successo della missione ha allentato la guardia.
(In un'inchiesta successiva si è appreso che la PM ha trovato i marinai di guardia nelle torrette di avvistamento completamente ubriachi. Si deciderà al rientro la punizione. Al momento sono relegati a pelare patate nel locale cucina. Vi è odore di corte marziale)
Questa leggerezza ha permesso ai bombardieri Japponesi di localizzare il convoglio e attaccarlo.

La BB Warspite pur raggiunta da 3 siluri ha riportato danni di 30 e 27 per cui si ritiene che potrà rientrare in porto

Un forte attacco Japponese 60 miglia a nord di vladivostok ha fatto ritirare le poche truppe a difesa del settore. Le truppe si sono ritirate a Uglahamensk.

A questo punto ritengo che i Japponesi dopo aver distrutto le difese entreranno a Vladivostok nei prossimi giorni.

Sunwu

Il Comando del quartier generale dopo diversi giorni di intensi bombardamenti aerei e terrestri ha odrinato una serie di attacchi terrestri per eliminare in maniera totale le truppe Japponesi in città.
Le truppe russe con appoggio di artiglieria pesante e di 3 divisioni corazzate di T34 e di due brigate meccanizzate hanno sferrato violenti attacchi contro le truppe nemiche e pur riportando valori di attacco molto alti a tuttoggi non sono riuscite nell'intento.

Non ho parole e non riesco a spiegarmelo. Come potete vedere i valori positivi di attacco sono altissimi eppure quei maledetti gialli non demordono. Io non so che sostanze usano, ma evidentemente sortiscono il loro effetto alla grande.

Chiedo dei commenti ai lettori del forum per spiegare questo stato di cose. Tengo a precisare che anche dopo gli attacchi le truppe russe sono in piena efficenza.

Bollettino di guerra dal 8/13/42 al 25/8/42

Russia

Dopo l'eliminazione delle truppe Japponesi a Sunwu, le truppe russe si sono dirette verso Harbin per conquistare l'importante centro produttivo.
Nel frattempo i bombardieri alleati hanno reso impraticabile l'aereoporto di Mukden da dove partivano i raid aerei verso Vladivostok. Il Gen. Patton ha dovuto spostare le sue unità aere in altro luogo.
Sono ormai diversi giorni che le truppe Japponesi a Vladivostok non si muovono. Ritengo che prossimamente effettueranno un forte attacco, ma penso che non riusciranno a sfondare. Se ci riuscissero sarebbe un dramma, potrebbero dilagare in tutto il settore sovietico con seri problemi per gli alleati.

Cina

Il settore è stazionario e comunque ben controllato dalle truppe cinesi. Non riesco a capire la staticità delle truppe Japponesi in questo settore e si che hanno uomini e mezzi per conquistare gran parte della Cina.
Nei prossimi turni si effettueranno degli attacchi nella città di Changscha sperando di ricacciare i Japponesi. Nei precedenti attacchi pur avendo subito forte perdite i valori di attacco erano tutti positivi.

Burma

Gli inglesi comincino a fare sul serio. Da Ledo truppe alleate si stanno avvicinando a Mandalay. Sono ormai a 60 miglia dal loro obiettivo. Parliamo di 4 divisioni di fanteria 8 brigate di artiglieria, 3 divisioni carri nonchè ing. e HQ a supporto.
A difendere la citta l'elite delle divisioni Jap nel settore, l'Imperial Guard. Non sarà facile, ma avendo il dominio dei cieli sarà possibile. L'aereoporto di Rangon è inservibile e l'Imperial Guard è giornalmente colpita dai bomb. inglesi. Sono circa 150 gli aerei che giornalmente bombardano il settore senza nessuna resistenza.
Altre due divisioni australiane, inoltre, si stanno dirigendo verso le indie.

Sud Pacifico.

Truppe alleate sono pronte a entrare in azione. Da Suva e Noumea sono pronte 5 divisioni di marines per l'invasione di Guadalcanal e Gili-Gili nonchè un altra isola di cui non ricordo il nome. Truppe minori si dedicheranno ai vari atolli circostanti. Unico problema è che ho a disposizione solo due CV e dovrò usarle con parsimonia per evitare l'attacco aereo che inevitabilmente gli alleati dovranno subire. Il mio intento è quello di tagliare i ponti con le unità Japponesi a Port Moresby. Vedremo.

Nel prossimo rapporto invierò un paiuo di screen per la visione più comprensiva della situazione.

Mi scuso verso coloro che leggono l'AAR per il ritardo del mio intervento, ma ciò è dipeso dalla mancanza di collegamento adsl a causa di una scarica elettrostaticha che mi ha bruciato il modem nonchè lo split con relativa scheda di rete e in oltre anche la scheda madre ha dei problemi.
A parte questo ecco di seguito gli ultimi avvenimenti nello scontro tra me e il Gen. Patton. e un paio di screen che vi avevo promesso nell'ultimo post.

Cina

Il fronte cinese da parte degli alleati tiene bene. Nessuna città cinese è stata conquistata dal nemico.
In diversi attacchi da parte delle unità cinesi all'interno della città di Changsha i Japponesi hanno perso migliaia di uomini. Ritengo che nell'arco di un mese tutte le unità Japponesi all'interno della città di Changsha verranno distrutte dato che non possono muovere in ritirata per il controllo cinese di tutte le vie di comunicazione.
Nello screen allegato potete vedere come la lettera A compare quasi in ogni luogo della cina.
Per chi non lo sapesse la lettera A sta per alleati mentre se il controllo è dell'avversario compare una J.

Come questi, altri attacchi hanno prodotto lo stesso risultato. Tenete conto che all'interno della città C'erano circa 90.000 110.000 unità Japponesi.
Un considerazione.
Io ho sempre giocato tenendo i gialli e posso dire che se vogliono prendere una città la prendono non riesco a capire pertanto l'immobilismo delle truppe Jap in questo settore. Va bhè, meglio per me.

Burma

I bombardamenti incessanti nel settore hanno ridotto gli aereoporti Japponesi a un cumolo di macerie permettendo alla truppe di terra di addentrarsi in territorio nemico senza subire perdite.

Finalmente le prime unità delle colonie inglesi sono entrate a Mytkyina purtroppo nell'esecuzione degli ordini non ho dato il follow unit alle truppe meno preparate che per tanto entreranno alla rinfusa nella città con il rischio di contro attacchi Jap deleteri.
Se riuscirò comunque riuscirò a conquistare la città avrò la via di comunicazione aperta verso la Cina che mi permetterà di inviare 500 supplis di rifornimenti al giorno alle truppe cinesi. In questo modo potrò installare i bombardieri inglesi in Cina e martellare le citta Japponesi con industrie.
Altre truppe indoinglesi sono sbarcate a 180 miglia da Rangon. Mi serviranno per tagliare la ritirata delle unità Japponesi verso l'importante centro di -Rangon. Una visione di chiarimento la potetre vedere nello sceen allegato

Pacifico sud-ovest

Le task force alleate si stanno dirigendo verso Lunga, Gili-Gili e verso Rennell Island. Vogli cercare di ottenere una testa di ponte per la conquista di Rabaul. Cosi facendo, se riesco nel mio piano, riesco a isolare Port Moresby dai rifornimenti Japponesi.
I miei ricognitori mi dicono che Gili e Rennel non saranno un problema, mentre per Lunga dovrò faticare un pò. Ci sono circa 20.000 uomini a difenderla con un buon supporto aereo.
Per lo sbarco, a mia disposizione ho solo due portaere la Wasp e la Hornet. Per i bombardamenti navali due Task force entrambe composte da corazzate e incrociatori pesanti per spianare la strada agli sbarchi. Mentre vicino alle isole di Santa Cruz ci sono in attesa le truppe del genio e navi con aerei da sbarcare immediatamente appena presa Lunga.
Questo naturalmente sulla carta poi vedremo.
Anche per questo uno screen di chiarimento.

Russia

Le truppe di Stalin Dopo l'occupazione di Sunwu sono riuscite con sanguinosi combattimenti a prendere anche Harbin uno dei centri di produzione aerea tra i più importandti del settore mentre altre truppe scese da Nord sono entrate anche a Hailer, le truppe Japponesi comunque si erano già defilate. Ora tutto il settore Nord-ovest è sotto il controllo russo.

A Vladivostok le truppe russe si difendono eroicamente. Le perdite sono alte anche a causa dei bombardamenti navali Japponesi, ma le perdite Japponesi durante gli attacchi sono ben maggiori.

Naturalmente a Vladivostok le truppe terranno tino ad avere supplis, ma stanno già scarseggiando. Spero di arrivare in tempo con le truppe di supporto. Con la conquista di Harbin posso spostare i bombardieri per contrastare l'offensiva Japponese su Vladivostok.

Atolli nel Pacifico

Che disastro. Una Task aereonavale Japponese è comparsa all'improvvisa e ha intercettato un paio di grossi convogli nel porto di Canton Island dove stavano sbarcando materiali e truppe. Oltre 30 navi sono state colpite duramente e una parte affondata con tutto il carico di uomini e mezzi. E' la prima volta che una TF Japponese si addentra tra gli atolli. In effetti mi chiedevo come mai il Gen Patton non usasse la sua forza aereonavale per incursioni nel pacifico, Bhe adesso l'ha fatto con consegueze molto dure per gli alleati. Ora dovrò rivedere i miei piani per l'occupazione degli atolli.

Finalmente le truppe cinesi hanno liberato la città di Changsha. Dopo un poderoso attacco sono riuscite a distruggere tutte le unità nemiche all'interno della stessa. Non vi sono stati superstiti Japponesi. Questo grazie al fatto che tutte le vie di comunicazione erano controllate dai partigiani cinesi.

Mi lascia sempre perplesso l'immobilismo delle truppe Jap in Cina. Se volevano i Japponesi avrebbero conquistato diverse città in cina. Hanno uomini, mezzi e armamenti per conquistare la stragrande maggioranza del territorio cinese. A questo punto dirotterò una parte delle truppe su Wuchow. Vedremo se riesco nello stesso intento.

South Pacific

E' cominciato lo sbarco alleato a Lunga, Tulagi e successivamnete tra un paio di giorni anche a Rennel island e Gili-Gili.
I bombardieri alleati hanno attaccato la base di Lunga rendendo inutilizzabile l'aereoporto per oltre il 50%
I ricognitori Japponesi hanno comunque intercettato le unità navali alleate e nel contro attacco aereo hanno messo a segno diversi colpi.
La BB New Mexico si è presa 5 siluri e la BB Mississippi 3. Ambedue le navi da bombardamento miracolosamente sono riuscite a rientrare a Noumea mentre le altre navi da bombardamento hanno fatto il loro dovere affondando un paio di mercantili e distruggendo a terra una decina di aerei.
Sono rientrate anche le portaerei dopo che la Hornet si è beccata un siluro nella pancia e meno male che le ho fatte rientrare perchè il giorno seguente è comparsa a ovest di Lunga la KB Japponese e una TF di superfice.
Una carneficina.
La quasi totalità dei convogli da sbarco sono stati colpiti duramente
e un buona metà affondate. Ciò nonostante la metà della mia forza da sbarco e riuscita toccare terra.
A Lunga dispongo ora di circa 20.000 uomini, mentre Tulagi verrà sicuramente conquistata nel prossimo turno essendo sguarnita.

Successivamente alla mattanza le navi Japponesi si sono riirate. Questa ritirata credo si stata dettata dal fatto che il Gen. Patton prevedeva che nel turno successivo io avessi mandato i bombardieri in Naval attack come effettivamente ho fatto.
Vedremo nei prossimi giorni l'evolversi della situazione.

Russia

Continua inarrestabile l'avanzata russa, Altre due città sono state occupate dai soldati della stella rossa e una terza è in procinto di cadere dopo che i Japponesi hanno effettuato un paio di ritirate strategiche. Cinque unità Jap circa 35.000 uomini si trovano ancora all'interno del settore Ovest controllato dai russi. Si trovano comunque in una località inpervia per cui non me ne preoccupo.
Ad Harbin ho trasferito circa 150 bombardieri che mi consentiranno di martellare gli aereoporti Jap da dove partono le incursioni verso Vladivostok.

Burma

Fintanto che tutte le truppe che stanno marciando verso Mandalay non saranno all'interno della città, non effettuerò nessun tipo di azione a parte i bombardamenti aerei.
